The Score So Far

This score is our police calls thus far. I find it very interesting that we lived in a bad section of Raleigh (when Doug told one of his cop friends where we were living he asked what in the heck we were doing there) and had to call the cops 3 times (all 3 from someone busting out a window on our car). We've lived in Mount Holly less than a year and we've called the cops twice.

I feel totally less threatened by the cop calls here though. Some of you will remember that I had to call the cops when Doug went out of town because in the middle of the night there was banging on my bedroom window. Some local kids.

A week ago we noticed a hole in our kitchen window. It looked as if someone had shot a BB through it from the neighbors yard. No big deal, right? Some kid probably just dorking around accidentally shot a BB and it 'accidently' hit our window. We didn't get too bent out of shape. Yesterday we found a hole (same size) in our bedroom window. This hole was not there two days ago. So someone is purposely shooting at our windows. One could have been a mistake, but TWO of our windows??? How do you accidently shoot TWO of our windows?!?!?! We called the police because it's the only logical thing we could think to do. We know they can't do anything, but at least now maybe our homeowners will pay to replace them.

It irritates me to no end though....Part of what we paid for our house we paid to live in a 'nice' neighborhood. It was valuable to us after living in downtown Raleigh. We even have a 'homeowners association' for goodness sakes! ARGH!!!!!!
