Today was awesome.
We had a breakthrough in that Jeremy learned how to steer his John Deere Powerwheel today. Previously he had just been going whatever direction the steering wheel was turned and running into stuff all over the place. Today something clicked in his head because he was steering like a mad man. Or maybe he was steering like a little boy obsessed with lawn mowers following his Daddy around the yard while he was mowing the grass. I guess it just takes the right motivation!
Our neighbors got a hammock a couple of days ago and all the neighborhood kids come and jump around in it and flip it over so of course Jeremy was enthralled and wanted to go over there. We deemed it too dangerous so we got out our own hammock which Jeremy loves (however he's only allowed up on it when Mommy or Daddy are there with him). All the neighborhood kids then tried to come get in our hammock and the rule quickly became if you're going to roughhouse or try to flip the hammock, you have to go to Mr. Frank and Ms. Sunday's house (aren't we good neighbors?). Anyway, the best part of the whole experience was that the neighborhood girls (about 6 of them) elected to stay at our house while the boys went and roughhoused at the neighbors. Jeremy was laying on the hammock with 6 girls rocking it and feeding him honeysuckle. They all love him and he was eating it up. Doug said he was just missing some grapes and someone to hold the giant leaf to fan him. Enjoy the pics in the hammock and video of Jeremy steering his tractor.

I was hoping to see a picture with the 6 girls and Jeremy in the hammock! I bet that was cute. I think Jeremy is ready for his license already.. you may as well take him to the DMV today!
Isn't it great that Jeremy can steer his tractor, just in time for summertime fun! He'll have to bring it to our house and ride it all around, and go see the cows.
Love you all, Maw-maw
