We were just getting to the hospital. We were so excited!
As I listen to Daddy read to Jeremy over the baby monitor, I am reminded of how much better it has gotten. Don't get me wrong, the first week or two is great! Lots of sleeping, lots of cuteness. The first smile, first laugh, first funny crawl, first steps are also fabulous. But there is NOTHING like hearing your child say,
"I wub you Mommy".
There is nothing like being awakened by your child an inch from your face with a huge smile and a "Hewwo Mommy!".
There is nothing like watching your son crash cars (almost) everynight with his Daddy.
There is nothing like snuggling in the middle of the night (even Daddy got suckered into this one the other night).
And there is nothing like your son coming out of his room in the morning to see breakfast made and hearing, "Mmmmm, Mommy! Smells Good!" even when it's just cereal and a poptart.
Yup, we've got it great.
Here's to the third year!

Oh yeah, I forgot - there's nothing like hearing your husband say, "Who do you want to pray for tonight?" and your son answering "Mommy!".

This one made me cry. There is nothing like having a daughter who is not only a FABULOUS daughter but a GREAT mother to your grandson! Thank you for the gift of Jeremy 2 years ago today. God has blessed us all!!!!
